Personal Leadership Philosophy Statement
As an early childhood educator, I am a person who transmits to children not just knowledge but also values. Therefore, educators should model values in their classes. Early child educators shouldn’t be focused on the results but also stay focused on the process of how the children are learning. This will give us information on how we can support their learning process. As an early child educator, I believe my role is to observe children and know how I can help them reach their goals, offering all the support they need. I believe children learn through play and learn in a better and more pleasant environment where they feel free to explore and where time and space are not an issue. But also a place where everyone is welcome, where we celebrate diversity, and where we respect their ideas and opinions, fostering an environment of empathy and understanding. We work together to help others, ensuring that every child's voice is heard and respected.
My educational philosophy positively impacts the group I work with (children and families). Observing children not just when they are playing but also listening to them carefully helps me identify some challenges the child can be facing, informing the parents so we can assist the child and help. I have a good relationship with parents where we can sit and talk about the child and the strategies to help their physical, cognitive, and emotional development. Families are pleased to see the children learn while having fun participating in the activities.
